Membership Terms and Conditions

Welcome!

The Coventry Kerala Community (CKC) fosters a vibrant and inclusive space for Keralites (people of Kerala) in Coventry. Membership in the CKC allows you to connect with your heritage, participate in community events, and contribute to the advancement of the Keralite community.

1) Eligibility: To be eligible for membership, you must:
    • Demonstrate a genuine interest in supporting and participating in CKC activities.
    • You must be of the age of 18 years or above at the time of registering for membership.
    • Uphold the CKC's values of inclusivity, respect, and mutual benefit, as outlined in our governing documents and policies.
2) Membership:
    • Membership in the CKC is subject to annual renewal, typically commencing in March each year.
    • Members are required to renew their CKC membership annually within the specified time frame set by the CKC committee, regardless of when they initially joined or renewed the membership.
    • Failure to renew your membership within the timeframe set by the CKC Executive Committee will result in loss of membership.
3) Responsibilities:
    • Members are expected to actively participate in CKC endeavours and activities to the best of their abilities.
    • Members acknowledge their responsibility to uphold the unity of the CKC and agree to refrain from actions that may cause division or dissension within the organization.
    • Members shall adhere to the CKC by laws and policies.
4) Media Usage:
    • The CKC reserves the right to publish, upload, and utilize images or videos of its events on its official website and social media platforms. Membership constitutes your consent to such usage.

5) Exclusivity:

Only members are allowed to participate in the events or activities hosted by the CKC.

6) Termination or Suspension:
    • Membership may be terminated or suspended for engaging in conduct detrimental to the CKC's reputation, mission, or values; disrupting CKC activities or events; failing to uphold the principles of unity and respect; holding a conflict of interest with the CKC's objectives or mission; or non-payment of membership fees or dues.
7) Acceptance:
      • By becoming a member of the CKC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions.
